Description

I took my best picture over the serie of films I made during the eclipse : 8 minutes before the maximum of coverage (but clouds appeared just 2 minutes before !).

At first, I wanted to highlight the presence of the Moon by using its "negative space" in the image, by framing it just as if it was visible. Then I tried to put an old picture of Moon, from last year, and use it with very high transparency just to make its outline visible, barely noticeable.

The occulted outline on the sun is therefore the one that comes from the eclipse, but the upper outline of the Moon, the crescent, is from a superimposed image taken earlier last year.

This is very unrealistic as a crescent cannot be seen during a solar eclipse - I just finished the Three Body Problem :-) - but it really gives a sense of size. Maybe a nice cover for SciFi books :-)
