Description

Veil Nebula is a cloud of extremely hot ionized gas and dust in the constellation Cygnus. It is roughly 6 times the diameter of the full Moon. Too large for my telescope to capture in a single frame. The portion shown here is the Eastern Veil also known as NGC 6992. It is estimated to be 2400 light-years from Earth.
