This is an interesting nebula in Cygnus shot in HOO with RGB stars. I tried many different ways of combining the HOO but most were a very monochromatic. I then tried the Foraxx script and am very satisfied with rusty reds and and yellows that it brought out. I combined the starless Ha and Olll in the Foraxx script then pushed the color and saturation with curves. I sharpened the image with MNT and a little unsharp mask. I tried LHE but even at very limited settings it made the image a little too clumpy for my tastes.I finished off the starless image with a RGB S curve in curves. I always do that because it adds contrast and sharpening. I then rescreened the the RGB starrs and used Bill Blanshan's star reduction method to deemphasize the stars a little bit. It took me a long time to get to that point but actual processing was fairly minimal. I generally feel that less is more but only after much effort to find out what actually needs to be done.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
