Wooden Pier for HEQ5

Description

Built myself a wooden pier in my garden. Much easier to use than setting up a tripod. Pier is made from two 3x6 beams that are bolted and glued together. The white adapter plate is three pieces of plywood bolted and glued together. I can remove the mount head from the pier and reattach it without loosing polar alignment. It's a rented property, so an usual all-concrete pier was out of the question.

Mount: SkyWatcher HEQ5 with the Rowan Belt Modification
Scope: Celestron C8 (from 1995) with 0.63x Reducer (insulated, dew heater beneath insulation, external dew-shield)
Guidescope: SVBony SV106 60mm f/4
Cameras: ASI533MC for imaging, ASI120mm Mini for guiding

Rig control with EKOS/INDI from my office. EKOS is a great program for controlling a whole night of imaging.
