Description

Delicate filaments of shocked, glowing gas are draped across the constellation Cygnus to form the Western Veil Nebula. The Nebula is the remnant of a Supernova; an expanding cloud born from the death of a massive star. Light from the original explosion likely reached our planet over 5,000 years ago.
