Description

M92 (also cataloged NGC6341) is a globular cluster in the constellation Hercules. It is one of the brightest globular clusters in the Northern Hemisphere, but is often overlooked by amateur astronomers due to its proximity to the even more spectacular Messier 13. M92 is approaching Earth at a speed of 112 km/s.
It has a Visual Magnitude of +6.44 ; apparent size of 14.0 arcmin and a distance of about 27,000 light-years from Earth.
