Description

I was excited to give the Firworks Galaxy a go. The RGB data is pretty limited as I only did 2 hrs 3 weeks ago experimenting with the new ASI 294 MC. I also had not shot the darks for the 4 min subs yet, making the image quite noisy. This was my first attempt to combined by data from my ASI 1600 MM with a pixel size of 3.75um and my ASI 294 MC with a pixel size of 4.63. The Hydrogen alpha data on the other hand was some of the best I have completed thus far. More worked to add to this project, but I am excited about it so far.

The fireworks galaxy is a spiral galaxy that has had 9 supernovas observed in the last 100 years. It's located approximately 10 million light years away, but isolated from other galaxies from our local group. The galaxy itself measures 40,000 light years across.
