Description

This image represents around 9.5 hours of LRGB subs of the so-called Leo Triplet, a group of galaxies about 35 million light years from us. The galaxies M66 (bottom right) and NGC3628 (left) show faint tidal streams of large star fields probably torn away from the galaxies when they passed each other millions of years ago.

Processing mostly in Pixinsight and final touches done with Affinity Photo.
