Description

The Sh2-129 Fying Bat Nebula is a faint region of Ha gas. It's located 2300 light-years from Earth and spans an area of about 80 light-years. The very faint teal-colored "Squid" in the middle is OU4, discovered by Astro-imager Nicolas Outters in 2011. OU4 was originally thought to be a planetary nebula that resulted from an exploding star, but is now believed to be an outflow from the bright central stars of Sh2-129. North is at the bottom.

Palette = HOO plus RGB for stars.

A good image of the Squid really requires a 3nm Oiii filter, instead of the 7nm that I have, and at least 10 hours of data.
