Description

So this week there’s been a little heatwave but it’s only been clear for one night where I live, and so I decided to image the Butterfly Nebula as it’s such a bright object. And the nights are also getting longer so I managed to get 5+ hours in one night.

I also noticed the advantages of having a cooled camera, being able to go to -10c where my DSLR would be in the high 20’s, and the resulting image turned out a lot cleaner than I’m used to from my DSLR.

I'm also impressed by the Antlia ALP-Ts halo performance on Sadr, and although there is a small and faint one, it's a lot less noticible than with my L-eNhance.
