Description

Uncropped. This was an experiment to test my rig on faint DSOs during a rather bright moon with the SVBony CLS Clip-in and stepping rings. I knew at 300mm I was not going to get very up close and personal with the Bubble. The result ends up being a widefield of a pretty interesting piece of sky. Regardless of what I am consistently told, I do get moonlight reduction with the CLS. The Bubble, the Lobster Claw and M52 cluster all show up nicely in widefield, with the added bonus of V1405 Cass supernova. But focus issues definitely show up when zooming in for detail. Not sure if it was related to pushing the Skyguider Pro with 1 minute exposures, my own visual acuity when performing focus, or the CLS effecting the lens' relationship with the sensor. I am also keenly aware that my processing skills on nebulae have a long way to go.
