Description

LMC in dual narrowband. This object just barely fits in my 135mm FOV, and it was a challenge to process since it's hard to tell the difference between background and galaxy, but I really enjoy seeing all of the nebulosity jump off the screen.

I have shot the SMC and LMC in broadband as well, and I had been disappointed by just how fuzzy everything looked with poor definition. I will revisit these targets over the southern summer and see if I can blend the NB and RGB data to restore some more natural colours.

Definitely got some strange halo artifacts around several stars, which I suspect had to do with shooting at f/2.8 with the narrowband filter.
