The coathanger - the famous summer asterism in the milkyway, featuring masses of stars, dark lanes, reflection nebulae and a small Sharpless Hydrogen object.

Sharpstar 76mm EDPH-II triplet and conjugated reducer to f/4.5 yields a focal length of 342mm and a field of roughly 6x4 degrees with a fullframe camera. This test shows there are some artefacts at bright stars at the frame edge (astigmatic loops and color separation), but performance is ok if you can deal with that in processing, and no problems expected if APS-C is used. The lens of this sample itself is sharp and color free on axis, interferometric measurement shows excellent 96% Strehl at 532nm.
