Description

This spiral galaxy is located 55 million light years away in the constellation of Draco at a declination of +57 degrees.  It is a magnitude 11 galaxy which spans 3.5 arc-minutes in our apparent view.  This corresponds to a diameter of 60,000 light years.

The details don’t pop out on this one - seeing hasn't been great lately.  The inner disk is a bright lens with a yellow core and a slight spiral shape.  The outer disk is faint with little detail.  Even the background objects in this image are sparse.

Overall, not the most exciting image.  It is not even an Astrobin debut image, since it has been imaged on Astrobin twice before.  If you have read this far, you are a true friend and I thank you!
