Description

After almost 3 months of pretty dreadful weather for astrophotography, with cloudy nights 85% of the time, I was recently able to collect about 3 hours of pretty good H-alpha data on this object. As the forecast looks bad again, I will share this result for the time being, and hopefully complete the Hubble palette in the near future, The FWHM of the series was very tight, in the range 1.25" to 1.45", in all 5-minute subs, which reflects on the fine details of the image. There are some strange spikes around bright stars, that I am trying to troubleshoot. Suspect the prism of the OAG is the culprit. Setup is the usual: AP167 FLZ + AP1100 + Astrodon 3nm filter + QHY600.
