Description

What did they call this nebula before 1983???? Because since then it has been the Pac-Man nebula for pretty obvious reasons.

Lots of clouds tonight and I kept dodging them and this is only 1 hour of images (13x300sec to be exact) before the clouds took over. Will revisit some other night...

This nebula in Cassiopeia was also first described by Barnard. If you zoom in a little you can see the dark dust lanes near the mouth and the Bok globules which are dark small nebulae which contain dense cosmic dust and gas and likely are responsible for star formation. Despite this, these Bok globules are known to be one of the coldest structures in the known universe! If you zoom in even further you will see way too much noise from not enough integration time! Come on....help me out with those clouds Pacman.
