Description

High in the Northern sky, a wounded Draco the Dragon limps about with a splinter in its claw. That 'splinter' would be NGC-5907, an edge-on spiral located 50-52 million light years away. The galaxy sits among a tidal stream of its own stars, a possible result of an encounter with a passing galaxy eons ago.
