Description

This SHO-like edit is derived from the OSC camera. I see a dragon and even possibly some flame-like nebula shooting away from the head!!

The first 5.5 months of this year have provided just 10 or 12 nights actually clear enough for deep sky efforts, even though I tried gathering data when transparency was way too bad and the moon way too bright.    Hence, I am still stuck re-processing earlier data!

I do note processing improvement since I first acquired this data.  The solid red of Ha dominated my first attempts.

Low in the southern sky, the Seagull Nebula is shared by The Unicorn and the Great Dog.
A two-frame mosaic attempt.  The panes were not totally aligned so I lost some sky above and below the primary target.

Monocerus and Canis Major approximately -10degrees declination.
