Description

Messier 4  is the closest globular cluster to Earth at 5,500 light years away. 
It's located in the constellation Scorpius, in close proximity to the bright star Antares.
There are over 100,000 star in this cluster, and of these up to 40,000 are white dwarfs - these stars are some of the oldest in the universe.
