Description

Long capture on a weak nebula in Centaurus Arm, next to the NGC 5281 open cluster (or little scorpion). The capture went on through a few days (3 to be more precise but in AB you just enter one date).

Gum48d is a forming star region, intense HII, surrounded by molecular clouds, which is quite part of, or next to the RCW80.

It is a nice half moon shape with some dark small structures, kind of Bok globule ones.

The nebula is ideal for using Ha filter, which I am waiting to arrive...so it should turn it in a strong red image.

The histogram is shifted to the left, I will re analyse the image but the only moment that a shift could have happened was when I tried to dimmer some strong stars, the nebula is weak compared to some of the neighbour stars.
