Description

Schiller is a 179km long x 70km wide impact crater, suggesting that it may have been formed by a very low angle meteorite impact. Another theory is that it is actually two overlapping impacts but the evidence on the crater's floor indicates a single strike. Schiller is seen close to the moon's SW limb.
