Description

I went to a Bortle 2, dark site to try photographing the Milky Way.  The geography is very interesting with very old and relatively new rock formations. Some of the rocks are estimated to be 2.5 Billion years old and others are a mere 600 million years old.  It is called the City of Rocks in Southern Idaho.

The photo is a stack of 25 thirty second exposures processed in Photoshop.  It was excellent conditions for astrophotography with clear skies and a long night on June 28, 2022.
