Not a great deal of choice for broad emission nebulae at this time of year, so another image in Gemini, which sets fairly early at 53 North. This is a new camera picked up at auction for a very reasonable price. It is fitted with a face-plate designed for microscopy, which is different to the standard T2 adapter, making connection and backspace more difficult, otherwise exactly the same as the Altair 183 Mono V2 (fan cooled).
Anyway herewith just 15 x 5 min subs in Ha, captured in Stellarmate EKOS, pre-processed and stacked in Siril, with a little sharpening and denoise using Deep Sky Detail tools. I'm happy with the boost in detail with the small 2.4 micron pixels, compared with my
last image using my DSI 3 Pro 6.45 micron pixel CCD camera. Backspacing is not quite right, and I will try and get a replacement standard face-plate from Altair. Other than that, it offers me a lot of versatility, is well suited to the wide field Samyang 135mm f2 lens, and I'm looking forward to making full use of it when the great nebulae return in the late summer.
