Description

Also known as NGC6514, the Trifid Nebula lies in the constellation Sagittarius at a distance of about 5,200 light-years away. The Trifid contains an emission nebula (red), a reflection nebula (blue), a dark nebula (dark regions within the nebula), and an open star cluster.



Taken over several nights in June & August 2018 from Campbell, CA, USA. Sky: 18.80 mag/arcsec^2
