Lagoon Nebula M8 in Hydrogen Alpha

Description

This is the first time I've bothered imaging the lagoon nebula as it's only 20 degrees above the horizon from my backyard and I figured it was too low in the sky to image from my vantage point.

I'm currently having some guiding issues and hence I wanted to select a test target close to my GEM's home position, which coincidentally was close to the position of M8 so I decided to use it as the test target. I'm glad I did now as I was quite surprised with the result so I decided to post it here. If I can get my guiding issues sorted and we get more clear skies I hope to add RGB and luminance soon.

This is 11 x 15 minute sub exposures in Ha using the QHY9 on the TMB130 Refractor.

Thanks for looking
