One thing that I have pondered for a while but have not bothered to ask is to look at the feasibility of adding a categorisation function to each members area. Rather than have a flat file structure where all of our images are stored I am thinking that it would be good to be able to have different folders for different types of image thus:
- Galaxies
- Open clusters
- Planetary nebulae
- Nebulae
- Wide Field
- Star Trails
- etc.
In this way one could sort ones images based on what is (to me) are more obvious structure than is currently available.
I currently run a Pbase site and one of the main reasons for doing this is that I can set up folders based on the type of deep sky object.
Here is a link to my Pbase site to give an idea of what I mean.

Clear skies,
Rodney.

Hi Rodney,
there is already something like that in place. Go to your gallery and select Sort and then Subject type. It will identify Deep sky, Solar System, wide fields, star trails, gear and other.

I'll need to add subcategories and make the UI a bit better.
