Celestron OAG + 0.7x Reducer guide stars cut off

08 Feb, 2019 15:54
So i've started using the focal reducer on my EdgeHD 8".
I'm guiding with a ZWO ASI290-MM-Mini, imaging with a ZWO ASI1600MM-Pro and EFW.

I noticed while trying to focus the guide camera that when the stars are out of focus, they sould look like donuts but actually look like half donuts.
The prism is as deep inside as it can be (even slightly shadowing on the main imager).

Anybody know what this is about? a fix?
