Dear Astrobin,

I was not able to plate solve my uploaded revision. - https://www.astrobin.com/378030/G/
A couple of attempts have been made: switch back and forth between blind solve and hinted solve, reload revisions. But nothing helped.

What more could be tried?

Thanks!

Well, I let the plate-solving run for 4 hours arleady. And it's still going. Is there a way that I could stop it? I am okay to have a version that is not plate-solved.

Seems like Astrometry.net (on which AstroBin depends for plate-solving images) is experiencing problems. Do give it some time to try again.
Otherwise you can disable plate-solving using the Edit menu on top of your image.

Salvatore, I think it's not only Astrometry.net. I did 2 tests this morning again and it's still the same issue - I think the task was not even submitted to Astrometry.NET. The Job ID is always None.

Could you help to manually stop the plate solving on this picture?  https://www.astrobin.com/378030/G/

And I didn't figure out how to "Disable Plate Solving" by myself. Only choices I have is blind/non-blind solving.

Thanks!

The fact that the job is None means that Astrometry API failed early on and didn't even accept the job submission. I will check the logs and see if there's anything I can do!

And oh you're right, you cannot completely turn off platesolving unless you change image type from deep sky to something else.

I think I have figured out what the issue is, and I'll try to fix it tonight (not sure, as it's already past midnight) or tomorrow at the latest.

I uploaded an image, it was plate solved.

But then I uploaded a revision and deleted the original. This new version is not plate solving: https://www.astrobin.com/382362/

Follow the "Astrometry.net job" link and you will see that Astrometry tried to plate-solve the "Loading, please wait" image. Apparently the plate-solving started too soon. You can submit your image for plate-solving again using the Edit menu and then Plate-solving settings, and just save without changing anything.
