Hi All

I sold my Astrodon 1.25" LRGB filter set as I had to move up to 2" filters.  So, I need to get a 2" LRGB set and was looking at Baader, Astronomik, and Otolong.  I have a Chroma Ha filter but they are very expensive so focusing on the other 3 brands.  Seeking which of those folks like best.  I have read many mixed reviews on Optolong and Baader.  Suggestions based on your experience?

Chroma and Astrodon are often recommended as the "best." But, of course, they have a premium price to match (as you noted). I do not have experience with Baader or Optolong, but I do own complete sets of 2-inch  Astronomik LRGB and narrowband filters. I've had them about 6 months and they are much better than the ZWO filters I previously used, especially since they are parfocal and have shown little or no halos, so far. I liked them well enough that I bought 36 mm sets for my ZWO ASI1600MM Pro camera.

I had Optolong 7 filter set and threw it in the trash after 1 month. Bad halos around stars, non parfocal... too bad to try selling.
I’ve never heard anyone complaining about Baader, nor about Astronomik. I don’t really know what I would choose: Astronomik has a great reputation, great transmittance and coating; Baader has 3,5nm for narrowband....
