Hi,

here is a first image using the High Full-Well mode which is now available for supported ToupTec cameras via a new SDK. I use the Toupcam driver from INDILIB and a Lacerta (ToupTec) DeepSkyPro 2600c OSC cam with the Sony IMX571 sensor.

With a gain of 160 (units of the INDI driver) and Low Conversion Gain LCG the camera reaches unity gain with a full-well capacity of 65ke (true 16bit ADC). The offset used was 160 ADU.

IC 59 & IC 63 "Ghost of Cassiopeia"

Apart from (obviously) the 2nd mag star Gamma Cas, there are very few other stars with saturated cores. Exposure time was 3 min per frame. I will continue to use this setting for filterless broadband images. For narrowband (L-eXtreme) I will use high full-well with High Conversion Gain HCG, gain 160 (approx. 0.3 e/ADU, 20 ke FWC) and longer exposures of 300-360 s.

CS, Bernd
