While my equipment awaits clear skies, can I leave the scope on the mount all set up? I know you are suppose to unlock axises when transporting, but is it fine to leave it locked and mounted if it's stationary or does it pose any issue of potentially damaging internals of the mount? I have a WO ZS73 scope and an HEQ-5 Pro mount. Thanks! Like

I also have a Heq5-Pro mount with 10 inch Newtonian. The total load weight (including counter weights) is about 40kg.It is mounted and locked since about 3 years, and all is fine.😊 Like
