Looking to get first Astrograph for DSO . Looking at APM LZOS 130/4.5 with reducer - not too shabby at all , but near on 6K euros. Would I be better off, compromising and spending less to start with - leaving more to spend on extras etc. Are the LZOS lenses that much better than FPL53 Ohara - as there are scopes around that are half the price of the LZOS. I understand you pay for what you get - but will I get twice as much quality output from this as a scope 50% price, still good,  - assuming experienced etc. Mount is EQ6R PRO. Looked at SW Espirit triplet 100/120 ED, ASkar FRA 600 (not sure of the glass) and now APM Lzos which seems another step up into almost TAK prices. Thoughts and ideas welcome , going round in circles.

So Esprits will be competitive if you go with a 120 or 150 with the new Esprit native reducer if you want to speed it up.

The beauty of the TAK - which at this range would be the FSQ 106 is all of the tak addons - you got native speed, multiple reducers and even an extender if you wish. Extremely flexible.

APM's are beautiful but I've never imaged with one.

I'm biased towards my esprit - i'd avoid the apex reducer and go native reducer.  I originally tried to get a TAK 106 but the shipping being months if not years delayed now and a slim picking aftermarket meant I had to pass that up.

Thanks yes the TAK FSQ-106EDX4 looks the deal plus all the add ons are pricey . Then again this is a one time astrograph purchase.  Thanks for the feedback Lots to ponder.
