I was wondering if the ASIair Plus is compatible with the Sony a7II mirrorless camera. I am hoping to use it to automate my imaging process and start to auto guide my setup. Any help is appreciated.

It is shown in the list of supported cameras, but with an * indicated it is "untested". Scroll to bottom of this page (https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/product/asiair-plus/) to see the list of supported camera. I guess it will work. However, this is NOT full support as you might get with ZWO camera. See the following links for more info: https://bbs.astronomy-imaging-camera.com/d/11079-dslr-control-with-asi-air/7
I think you will need a separate guide scope and guide camera.

Yes, it is, and to great effect. Infact it gives better readouts with the ASIair writing to FITS. Have fun!

John All A7's, and all other modern Sony Cameras are technically fully supported, as the internal-external control firmware is the same across almost all camera models. It should be fine. Plus ZWO's "Tested" sheet only describes the cameras that ZWO themselves have tested, not users. I've seen 5 A7II users on ASIair, and they've all said it's great.

V.M, what adapter do you use, and could you describe your imaging train behind the flattener? Thanks, John

V.M, what adapter do you use, and could you describe your imaging train behind the flattener? Thanks, John Hi John, I'm not using the Edge HD 8's .7 Reducer, it reduces quality of picture at the cost of a smaller field of view. Definitely a waste of money in my book. For my A7III, I'm using the Baader Sony E mount M42 T-Adapter, using the Edge 8's T-Adapter, ZWO OAG, ZWO M42 Filter Drawer, and some M42 spacing rings. I'd like to go up to M48 so I can use the entire field of view the baffletube affords, while not having an encroaching OAG, but the Edge 8's main T-adapter does some overlapping of the wider opening- unfortunately. But that won't happen since I'm going off to the Navy in a week 14HD here I come!

V.M Legary: Hi. . . Thanks V.M. Good luck with your Naval duty. Guessing you will enjoy it, and clear skies with your 14HD. I signed for NUC, so I'm going to need that luck, best job I could ask for, but it'll be tough. Looking to do science with that big boy while I start my astronomy career.

Gotta love a challenge. NUC and Astro, quite a combination. As H. Ross Perot was fond of saying "The devils in the details".
