Just a quick heads up to anyone thinking of buying the Canon rf 35mm f/1.8 STM for Astro Photography. I was hoping to use my my Canon 35mm 1.8 rf along with my Astronomik cls ccd clip in filter to create a wide field panorama. However it turns out that the rear of the lens protrudes too far into the body of my Canon Ra, meaning that it interferes with the filter. I'm glad that I realised soon enough and did not crack the filter by pushing too hard.

Hi Richard, the way of fixing this is by buying the new Astronomik "thin" version of the CLS filter, but also keep in mind that you CAN‘T put it inside the camera all the time, because it's too thin that it will fall off very easy, the way to work around is by pointing the camera up--> INSTALL THE FILTER-- >FOUCUS-->SHOOT-->TAKE OFF FILTER-->PACK UP
