Hello. On nights where I am lucky enough to be running 2 rigs, I tend to use SGP on one and NINA on the other. I find SGP is easier simply because I can look at upcoming targets and add / subtract from the planned number of exposures on the fly.
With NINA, once you are imaging you cannot change the planned number of exposures, or even look at the next target in the sequencer.
Have I missed something in NINA - is there a way around this?
Thanks! Bob

Hi Bob,
When using NINA, if you press pause it will finish the current sub and wont restart until you press the play button, you should be able to go back into the image sequence and update to whatever.

Hi Bob! My two cent is that with the advanced sequencer you can change the parameters while executing. I never did specifically for the number of exposures, but I certainly did with many other parameters. With the "classic" sequencer on-the-flight changes were not possible, unless you paused the sequence to perform any update.
The advanced sequencer along with many other major updates, is available with the current beta version, that in my experience is very stable. Hope this may help!

Hi Bob, with advanced sequencer you can change things on the fly very easily. You can also look ahead at the next target in the sequence.

Thanks Anthony, Mau and Sean. It sounds like I need to use the advanced sequencer if I don't want to have to pause the sequence. Got it!![](https://cdn.astrobin.com/precise_bbcode/smilies/wink-1.png) |

Bob, the current NINA beta has so many enhancements, that it is nearly a new product, it is definitively worth to give a try!

The advanced sequencer is great, but can seem a bit overwhelming at first. After some Youtube tutorials and a few uses, it's quite easy and makes good sense... so glad I'm using it now ![](https://cdn.astrobin.com/precise_bbcode/smilies/happy-2.png) |

I have looked at the advanced sequencer in the past... I'll have to watch the Patriot Astro video for sure!
