Merry Christmas Yorkshire Astro Imaging friends ! The weather has been so terrible here the last few months - here is hoping for some good clear skies early in the new year ! The sky over my bit of Leeds is currently clear but winds are very high and our nearest neighbour is very bright in the sky so no chance for asto imaging I am going to drag my Dobsonian out for half an hour and have a look at the moon All the best for Xmas and the New Year Simon (urmymuse) |

I'm cheating by going up to Scotland, - Carnoustie. Currently clear but very windy. I've a sheltered spot in the corner of the garden where I'm piling in the hours on IC1805 in Ha cos of the moon being a tad bright. Going to composite the heart nebula up with the additional data when I get back to Leeds Happy Christmas all! Erik |

Ah well done re Scotland ! I look fwd to seeing the results  Just been viewing the moon and jupiter here. Did a bit of out reach i.e. my eldest son and his girl friend had a look also .

| Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. Tested out my new Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM lens tonight through the small gap in the clouds. It’s beautiful, round stars in all corners even fully open. Hopefully a good Milky Way lens |
