Hi All,

While the subject is a bit cringe, down in Aussie we usually say 'Hey mate' rather than g'day. You could be talking to your friend, your pet, someone else's pet, someone else's child, your own child or your mates Significant Other. Mate is a term we use for just about anyone and anything.

I'm an Aussie who has been spending this year trying to build a proper Astrophotography kit, as I've quickly realised the limitations of Untracked DSLR Astrophotography. I had a lot of trepidation on what gear to choose, what are the caveats, what do I ultimately want to shoot, can I afford it, no but really can I afford it, what people mean by the aussie tax (and wow do they) and where I can get what.

Finally I have my build together and the night of assembling the image train was the last clear night I've had. I've had to spend my time while waiting researching, setting up software, ensuring I have all the cables and power that I need.

You can find me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/aussie__astro/ which is new, I wanted to separate my astronomy interest from my normal photography interest.

I've seen some incredible images on here and so I hope that soon enough I can crack a cold one while capturing some signal from space and share my own ripper images.
