Hi all!  I'm here because I have a problem.  Wait, wrong forum.  Actually, correct forum... I'm a scientist by day and a learner by night.  I've been an amateur photographer for about 25 years and have had an interest in astrophotography since the days when amateurs built their own barn door trackers and bought or made film with crazy treatments to eek out sensitivity to space objects.  That said, I never jumped in until this past year when time, funds, and interest re-ignited by the comet this summer all coincided.  So, I'm now attemptiing to take pictures of beautiful objects in the sky while learning from this community and others.  I love to see others' images and learning more about how they were acquired and processed.  Cheers!

Welcome to Astrobin! I have a similar background / day job / night job Started astrophotography when Kodak TP2415 was the best thing there could ever be and came back to the hobby after a long hiatus. Lots of fun!
