Description

After a few weeks of trying to melt my poor PC, I've finally stitched together a 18 panel mosaic I shoot during the last new moon.

Its shoot with the Samyang 135mm f2, Pentax K1ii, shot on a Star Adventurer.

Each panel is 10 minutes of exposure time. Unfortunately, the final image is too big to upload at full resolution here on Astrobin, so the uploaded file is rezised to around 180MP

Overall this was a nightmare to shoot and then edit. But ultimately I wanted to complete it as a practise run for a future project with 2 hours at each panel using two modified Canon 6D's on a small go-to mount. I am just putting the finishing touches on this "rig" at the moment. I'll post the final image on my Astrobin, but with the current weather here, it may take until next year. The good news in the meantime is this image served many many lessons learnt!
