Description

This picturesque pair show a contrast in styles - tightly wound (IC 467) and loosely wound (NGC 2336) spiral galaxies.  In addition, IC 467 is one of the bluest in its class because of many young blue stars in both its core and arms.  NGC 2336's giant blue stars are chiefly in its arms with very few in its core, a more traditional mix (as in our Milky Way).
