Description

Quick image of the Coal Sack nebula which is a rather large dark nebula situated next to Acrux. Aboriginal astronomers referred to it as the head of the Emu, and when you see it with the naked eye, it is easy to see why. I must admit, I tend to ignore it. However, I was at a dark sky site (my farm) and since I had my stock Canon 7D mark II camera, Samyang f2.0 135mm lens, and an Ioptron Sky Tracker with me, I decided to image it before the moon came up. Considering the limitations of the equipment, I thought it was OK, so here it is.
