Description

Wikipedia tells us that "Árvakr and Alsviðr in Norse Mythology are the horses which pull the sun, or Sól's chariot, across the sky each day. It is said that the gods fixed bellows underneath the two horses' shoulders to help cool them off as they rode "

So I am guessing that the Horsehead Nebula must be a mate of theirs

Taken on New Years Day 2021

Just one hour Ha and 25 mins Oiii ... synthetic green channel

I was going to wait until I had more data but ... its a lockdown Sunday and I'm bored

The main processing issue was the huge reflection of my Newts mirror round Alnitak which I think I have managed to tame ... the worst thing about the reflection is that it was bit offset which I assume means my scope wasn't very well collimated lol

Ordered two 20m repeater cables today so I can re site one of my scopes onto the lawn (if they work) as Orion and its glories is only unobstructed from the patio for a couple of hours a night
