Description

NGC 2403, about 9.65 million light-years aways, is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation Camelopardalis. It is an outlying member of the M81 Group. It bears a similarity to M33, being about 50,000 light years in diameter and containing numerous star-forming H II regions. It is sometimes referred to as Mini M33.

This image  was captured in a Queen Creek (Arizona) Bortle 7/8 backyard using a Skywatcher Esprit 150ED telescope. The telescope is mounted on a 10Micron GM2000 HPS II mount. The camera is a ZWO ASI 2600MM Pro using Antlia VPRO LRGB and HA 3nm filters. It was captured over 7 nights (2023-01-25 to 2023-02-26). The images were stacked/processed in Pixinsight and fine-tuning done in Photoshop.
