Description

Triplet
The "Leo Triplet" is a collection of three far-away galaxies designated M65 (top right), M66 (bottom right), and NGC3628 (left). The galaxies are situated around a distance of 35 million light years from earth. This group is very interesting for the observer as they are all tilted at different angles as seen from Earth - with NGC3628 reviewing beautiful dust lanes as it is facing us nearly edge-on.
The three galaxies are in tidal interaction and as such, one can observe slight warping of some of their features - notably the disk of M65.

Total integration time: 10 hours and 25 minutes, shot over 3 nights from my rooftop in Tokyo Japan with a Vixen ED81s apochromatic refractor, ZWO ASI1600mm monochrome camera, LRGB filters, on a iOptrom GEM45 mount.
