Description

NGC1333 is a reflection nebula located in the constellation of Perseus, embedded in large clouds of dust. It is famous for its substantial number of star forming regions and especially so called Herbig Haro Objects. These consist of partially ionised gas being ejected from young stars at high speed that collide with the surrounding clouds of dust and gas, lighting them up. They show up mostly in red in this image.
