Description

Here is my  Western Veil + Pickering's Triangle Nebulas in narrowband using Esprit 100 reduced to 413mm (2019 TSAPORED075) and QHY268M, shot from my Bortle 5+, suburban Louisville, KY backyard.  This is part of the larger Cygnus Loop supernova remnant in the constellation Cygnus and  ~2,400 light years away.  The Western Veil Nebula is also know as "Witch's Broom" and NGC-6960.     The QHY268M was in High Gain mode, with Gain of 56. The filters were Astronomik 6nm Ha, Oiii, Sii.  The color pallet is Forax.Ha 480sec x 106
Oiii 480sec x 98
Sii 480sec x 103After getting a new GPU (3070Ti) and enabling GPU acceleration for Starnet2, I used the Bill Blanshan's star reduction method.  I find this method terrific and easy (dependent on fast, GPU acceleration Starnet2) with better results and fewer artifacts.   I will now need to reprocess my prior nebula images to get better results using this method.
