Description

My first take on tracked Astrophotography.

It was quite a journey, from stepping into the field alone, setting up the tripod and tracker. Doing polar alignment for the first time in field, finding the target and not being scared by random noises from wildlife.
Well, it took quite some time. At least 2 hours after astronomical night began. And then, finally I could take the first exposures. And guess what? I setup my intervalometer and recorded 30 minutes of pure white. What a start.
I somehow screwed up my ISO setting without noticing. But yeah 30 minutes later I corrected the error and got around 60 minutes of total integration until my lens was soaked with dew. I definitely have to buy or build a dew heater for the optics.
Until then, enjoy the beauty of this so rewarding hobby.

Shot on September 3rd 2021 with 200mm F3.5 and 2 minutes exposures per sub.
