Description

These 3 Astrobin Debut Objects  are located in the constellation of Bootes at a declination of +13 degrees.

At left, NGC 5852 is the brightest of the trio, a magnitude 14 lenticular galaxy that is 320 million light years away.  This galaxy is has a width of 1 arc-minute in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of 100,000 light years.

The 2 galaxies to the right are NGC 5851 and PGC 53961.  This pair is about the same distance away, a bit close to us at about 310 million light years away.  Both disks appear disturbed so they could be interacting.  Interestingly, each of these 2 galaxies have a strong star-forming arm extending upward.
