This photo is a 12 panel mosaic of a small region of the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex taken over 5 months. The photo is displayed in
Dynamic LHaRGB, allowing for the Horsehead & the fainter nebulosity to be displayed in pure LHaRGB, while the colorful core of the Orion nebula is displayed in mostly LRGB.
Due to the small FoV the telescope has, this project took months to acquire & days to finally process all together into one final image. I'm not the happiest with the depth the image portaries due the low integration time per panel, but I'm happy with how the outcome displays the region anyway. I hope you enjoy it too!
Some of this lack of depth comes from the inconsistency of the exposure time per panel (given below). I learned that lack of tracking the progress of these large mosaics leads to these inconsistencies & in the future I'm going to try to better to track this overall,
