Description

Imaged the conjunction of Jupiter and Venus at nightfall on March 1, 2023.  It has been fun watching Jupiter and Venus approach each other over the past few weeks before reaching conjunction at ~0.5 degrees separation tonight.

Imaged with a Nikon D750 and 28-300 mm Nikon zoom lens at 70 mm focal length and F/5. 

Original version: Single exposure of 1.6 seconds, F/5 at ISO-800.  HDR image generated using EasyHDR3.  Image taken at 18:44 pm EST (11:44 in UTC).

Rev B:  HDR image created in EasyHDR3 from 3 sub images with exposures of 0.25/0.5/1.0 seconds at F/4.8 and ISO-3200.  Image taken at 18:57pm EST (11:57 in UTC).
